Burberry was founded in Basingstoke in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, the inventor of gabardine. Its Her line, launched in 2018 and composed by Francis Kurkdjian, is built on a berry-gourmand signature inspired by London.

The Experience
Her Parfum is the most concentrated member of the Her family and the most single-minded. It opens on a delicate cherry note — fruity but not candied — and moves steadily into warm amber before settling on an enveloping vanilla. There is far less of the berry sparkle that defines the original; this reads richer, creamier and closer to the skin. Reviewers who love the 2019 Intense tend to find this the closest successor, with brighter creamy accents setting it apart.
