About Alessandro Gualtieri
Alessandro Gualtieri is an Italian-born perfumer who studied historic perfumery techniques at a German institute. Early in his career he created scents for Fendi, Versace and Helmut Lang, and spent time in-house at Diesel. In 2008 he founded Nasomatto in Amsterdam. In 2014 he launched a second line, Orto Parisi, inspired by his grandfather's garden in Puglia.
Gualtieri aims for fragrances that provoke a feeling rather than simply smell pleasant. He rarely discloses ingredient lists. Each Nasomatto scent targets a mood, such as strength in Duro or bliss in Black Afgano. Other well-known works include Baraonda and Pardon for Nasomatto, and Megamare and Terroni for Orto Parisi. Black Afgano is said to have taken six years to perfect.
Alessandro Gualtieri created the Nasomatto line, including Black Afgano, Duro, Baraonda and Pardon, and the Orto Parisi line, including Megamare and Terroni. Earlier he made scents for Fendi, Versace, Helmut Lang and Diesel.
The Scent Stories® stocks authentic, brand-packaged samples, miniatures, testers and full bottles of Alessandro Gualtieri's creations, so you can try a fragrance on your own skin before buying a full bottle.
