About Alienor Massenet

Aliénor Massenet is a VP Senior Perfumer at Symrise, which she joined in 2016 after working with IFF. She trained at the Cinquième Sens school and has no formal chemistry background. She started as a junior perfumer in New York in 1995. She won a Fragrance Foundation UK award in 2018 for a Memo Paris scent. In 2020 she received the Fragrance Foundation France Experts' Award for Comme des Garçons Copper.

Her perfumes often rely on contrasts and surprising pairings. She is the main perfumer behind Memo Paris, with Irish Leather and Italian Leather (2013), African Leather (2015) and Marfa (2016). She also created Maison Martin Margiela Jazz Club (2013) and Jimmy Choo Illicit Flower (2016). More recent work includes Salvatore Ferragamo Giardini di Seta (2021) and Rabanne Million Gold For Her (2024).
