About Amelie Bourgeois

Amélie Bourgeois is a French perfumer, born in 1981 in the Landes region of south-west France. She first trained in cosmetology. In 2002 she joined the independent Paris school Cinquième Sens under Monique Schlienger, and spent seven years there as a perfumer and trainer. In 2012 she co-founded the independent creation studio FLAIR with Martine Denisot.

She works mainly for niche houses, including BDK Parfums, Alexandre.J, Les Eaux Primordiales, Les Liquides Imaginaires, Frapin, Jovoy and Volnay. For Volnay she recreated five historical perfumes. Her best-known work is BDK Rouge Smoking (2018), followed by an Extrait version in 2024. Other credits include Alexandre.J Mandarine Sultane (2016), Les Eaux Primordiales Ambre Superfluide (2019) and Les Liquides Imaginaires Melancolia (2020).
