About Anne Flipo
Anne Flipo is a French perfumer who trained at the ISIPCA perfumery school near Versailles. She chose perfumery over the engineering path her parents had in mind. She learned her craft under perfumers Michel Almairac and Jean-Louis Sieuzac. She joined International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) in 2004 and holds the title of IFF Master Perfumer. In 2023 The Fragrance Foundation named her its Lifetime Achievement Perfumer.
Flipo says she has no fixed style and adapts to each brand. Her aim is a recognisable signature that gives immediate pleasure. Her favourite materials include orange blossom, neroli, basil, jasmine sambac, patchouli and orris. She co-created Lancôme La Vie Est Belle (2012), Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Parfum (2018) and Yves Saint Laurent Libre (2019). Her other work includes Rabanne Lady Million (2010), Chloé Love Story (2014) and Jimmy Choo Illicit (2015).
