About Chris Maurice
Chris Maurice is the professional name of Christian Carbonnel, a Spanish perfumer. He was born into one of Spain's best-known perfumery families and is a director of Carbonnel S.A., the family fragrance company. He also founded C De La Niche. He has composed for niche houses in Europe and the Middle East, including Xerjoff, Nishane, Amouage, Masque Milano and Zoologist.
He is best known for his long run of work with Xerjoff. His credits there include Casamorati Lira (2011), Alexandria II (2012), Opera (2019) and Tony Iommi Monkey Special (2021). He also worked on Xerjoff Uden Overdose and La Capitale. For Nishane he composed B-612 (2018) and Vain & Naïve. Agoratopia lists around 70 products linked to his name, most of them from Xerjoff.
Chris Maurice has created many Xerjoff fragrances, including Casamorati Lira (2011), Alexandria II (2012), Opera (2019) and Tony Iommi Monkey Special (2021). For Nishane he composed B-612 (2018) and Vain & Naïve.
