About Christian Provenzano

Christian Provenzano is Master Perfumer and Global Director of Perfumery at CPL Aromas, based at the company's creative centre in Dubai. His career spans more than 50 years. He started at the Dutch firm Maschmeijer and trained in its laboratory at Naarden. He then worked at Zimmerman Hobbs and Fritsche Dodge & Olcott. CPL recruited him in 1989, and in 2021 he became its first Master Perfumer.

Provenzano is regarded as a specialist in amber, oriental and Arabian-style perfumery, and he also runs his own label, Christian Provenzano Parfums. His best-known works include Penhaligon's Halfeti (2015), Kilian Pearl Oud (2015) and Jo Malone London Wild Fig & Cassis (2002). He created Nishane Mana (2022) and several Sospiro scents, including Accento Viola (2022). For Clive Christian he composed C for Men (2010) and V for Men Amber Fougère (2017).
