About Clement Gavarry

Clement Gavarry is a Principal Perfumer at dsm-firmenich. He was born in Paris and is a fourth-generation perfumer; his father, Max Gavarry, was also a perfumer. He holds a master's degree and a diploma in organic chemistry from ISIPCA in Versailles. He moved to New York in his early twenties and has also worked with IFF.

He is known for a meticulous, detail-focused way of balancing formulas. His early credits include Prada (2004), Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely (2005) and Tom Ford Black Violet (2007). His biggest recent success is Ariana Grande Cloud (2018). He also created Victoria's Secret Bombshell Oud (2021) and Kayali Eden Juicy Apple (2021). In 2025 he released Azzaro Forever Wanted Elixir and Salvatore Ferragamo Fiamma.
