About Daphné Bugey
Daphné Bugey is a Principal Perfumer at dsm-firmenich and a graduate of the ISIPCA perfumery school. Her interest in fragrance began at the age of ten. She once took a year-long sabbatical to travel, which included meditation in Nepal, organic farming in Japan and language study in Italy. Fragrantica credits her with more than 150 perfumes.
She calls herself a free spirit, and her work tends to be spontaneous and bold. Her early hits include Kenzo Amour (2006) and two Le Labo originals, Rose 31 and Bergamote 22 (both 2006). She created Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal (2017), a honey and gardenia scent, and many of its flankers. Mugler Aura (2017), K by Dolce&Gabbana (2019) and Q by Dolce&Gabbana (2023) are also hers. In 2020 she composed the Christian Louboutin Loubikiss, Loubiraj, Loubicroc and Loubidoo line.
