About Julien Rasquinet
Julien Rasquinet is a perfumer at CPL Aromas, which he joined in September 2023. He came to perfumery after business school, when Pierre Bourdon took him on as an apprentice for three years. He then worked with Christine Nagel for two years. After four years running his own fragrance company, he joined IFF's team in the Middle East. He has also worked at dsm-firmenich.
His years in the Gulf gave him a strong interest in Middle Eastern perfumery. Oud, incense and amber run through much of his work. For Amouage he composed Enclave (2020), Orris Wakan (2021), Incense Rori (2021) and Lustre (2024). His designer work includes Valentino Noir Absolu Oud Essence (2018) and Jimmy Choo Man Aqua (2022). He has also created Maahir Honor for Lattafa (2025).
