About Kevin Mathys
Kévin Mathys is a French perfumer who grew up in the countryside and began mixing scents as a child. He taught himself with raw materials ordered online, then studied in Montpellier. He spent three years as a trainee perfumer at Bell Flavors & Fragrances in Leipzig. He now works at CPL Aromas' Dubai office.
His favourite material is Haitian vetiver oil, which he finds woody, citrusy, leathery and earthy. He starts each project from a mental image or a single word. For Electimuss he created Patchouli of the Underworld (2022) and Caspian Cherry (2024). He also made Voyage à Paris for Fragrance Du Bois (2023) and Kajal IV (2023), a 2024 Art and Olfaction Awards finalist.
