About Laurent Le Guernec
Laurent Le Guernec is a Senior Perfumer at IFF, focused on fine fragrance. He was born near Paris in 1967 and studied chemistry at the University of Paris before training at ISIPCA in Versailles. As a student he worked at Laboratoire Monique Remy in Grasse, learning natural raw materials. He moved to the United States in 1991 to join Fragrance Resources and also worked with Mane.
His mentors included Pierre Bourdon and Jean-Claude Ellena. He is closely linked with Bond No. 9, for which he has composed many scents, including Chelsea Flowers (2003) and Central Park West (2012). His best-known mainstream work is Lovely for Sarah Jessica Parker (2005). He has also created for Michael Kors, Katy Perry and Caswell Massey.
Laurent Le Guernec created Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely (2005) and many Bond No. 9 scents, including Chelsea Flowers (2003) and High Line (2010). Other credits include Michael by Michael Kors (2000) and Katy Perry Killer Queen (2013).
