About Mathieu Nardin
Mathieu Nardin is a French perfumer born and raised in Grasse, into a family of perfumers. He grew close to natural materials while working in his grandparents' fields. He trained at the ISIPCA perfumery school and began his career at Robertet, where he was mentored by Michèle Saramito. He later joined Mane, another family-owned Grasse fragrance house.
Nardin treats raw materials with respect and likes to pull a familiar ingredient away from its expected path. His work spans niche and designer houses. Early credits include Café Chantant for Nobile 1942 (2013) and XJ 1861 Zefiro for Xerjoff (2015). Later came Tenue de Soirée for Goutal (2016), Scherzo for Miller Harris (2018) and L'Heure Verte for By Kilian (2021).
