Rasasi Perfumes is one of the most established and respected fragrance houses in the United Arab Emirates, founded in Dubai in 1979 — making it among the oldest continuously operating UAE fragrance companies. The house was established by Abdul Latif Musabbeh Al Mulla, who began with traditional Arabian attars and bakhoor before expanding into contemporary EDP fragrances. Nearly five decades of Dubai-based fragrance creation has given Rasasi an institutional knowledge of Arabic raw materials, customer preferences, and global fragrance trends that newer houses are still developing.
Rasasi operates its own in-house perfumery team alongside collaborations with external fragrance creation houses, producing compositions across the full spectrum of Arabic and Western fragrance families. Their international outreach — distributing to over 40 countries — reflects their understanding that modern Arabian fragrance culture is a global export, not merely a regional phenomenon. Key collections include La Yuqawam (inspired by the iconic Lacoste L.12.12 family), Hawas (one of the most globally viral affordable fragrances of the 2010s), and the Dhanal Oudh series — traditional oud compositions created with genuine respect for the ingredient's heritage.
Hawas (2018) is Rasasi's most globally celebrated composition — a fresh, aquatic-spicy masculine of sea notes, bergamot, coriander, jasmine, vetiver, amberwood, and musk that the fragrance community embraced as one of the finest affordable fragrances ever produced. Its projection and longevity (10-14 hours) at its modest price point made it viral in fragrance communities across YouTube and Reddit. La Yuqawam Pour Homme — a fresh citrus-lavender-woods composition — established Rasasi's credentials in the western masculine category. Dhanal Oudh Wa Ward — oud and rose in the traditional Emirati style — demonstrates the house's Arabic heritage at its most authentic.
Rasasi occupies the accessible luxury tier — EDPs from €25-€65 — with nearly 50 years of UAE fragrance expertise giving their compositions a confidence and consistency that newer brands are still establishing. For value, longevity, and authentic Arabian fragrance heritage, Rasasi is consistently cited as one of the finest choices in the accessible market.
Every Rasasi fragrance at The Scent Stories® is 100% authentic, factory-sealed and brand-packaged — sourced from authorised channels and shipped worldwide.

How old is Rasasi and where are they based?
Rasasi was founded in Dubai, UAE in 1979 — making it one of the oldest continuously operating UAE fragrance companies with nearly 50 years of experience. Founded by Abdul Latif Musabbeh Al Mulla, the house began with traditional Arabian attars and bakhoor before expanding into contemporary EDPs. What is Rasasi Hawas?
Hawas (2018) is Rasasi's most globally celebrated fragrance — a fresh aquatic-spicy masculine of sea notes, bergamot, coriander, jasmine, vetiver, amberwood, and musk that became viral in fragrance communities worldwide for its exceptional quality relative to price. Its 10-14 hour longevity and strong projection at an accessible price point made it one of the most discussed fragrance discoveries of the 2010s on YouTube, Reddit, and Fragrantica.
Are Rasasi fragrances good quality?
Yes — Rasasi consistently receives strong reviews from fragrance communities for genuine quality and impressive longevity. With nearly 50 years of Dubai fragrance expertise, their compositions demonstrate both Arabic heritage knowledge (particularly in oud and rose) and contemporary western fragrance sensibilities. Hawas in particular has been rated by multiple fragrance reviewers as comparable in character to fragrances costing three to four times the price.
How does Rasasi compare to Lattafa and Afnan?
Rasasi has the longest heritage of the three (founded 1979 versus Lattafa and Afnan's more recent establishments), giving their compositions a institutional consistency. Lattafa has had the most recent viral successes (Khamrah). Afnan has stronger global distribution. All three occupy the accessible luxury tier at comparable prices. Rasasi's Hawas remains the single most globally discussed affordable fragrance of its era, making it the house's greatest competitive advantage.

Yes — The Scent Stories® stocks authentic Rasasi samples, miniatures, and tester bottles including Hawas, La Yuqawam, Dhanal Oudh, and more. All are factory-sealed and brand-packaged, shipped worldwide.
