About Roja Dove
Roja Dove is a British perfumer, born Roger Bird in Sussex in 1956. He joined Guerlain in 1981 in its training and public relations department and stayed nearly 20 years. He became the house's Global Ambassador, the first person outside the Guerlain family to hold the role. In 2004 he opened the Roja Dove Haute Parfumerie at Harrods, and he launched Roja Parfums in 2011.
His own line is sold through a small number of luxury stores worldwide. He created Diaghilev (2010) for the Victoria and Albert Museum's Diaghilev exhibition. Danger and Innuendo followed in 2012, and the Enigma orientals, with cognac and tobacco in the men's version, arrived in 2013. Elysium (2017) is a fresh citrus scent over vetiver, leather and ambergris. He also wrote The Essence of Perfume (2008).
Roja Dove created Diaghilev (2010), Danger and Innuendo (2012), the Enigma line (2013) and Elysium (2017) for his own house, Roja Parfums. Amber Aoud and Aoud Extraordinaire are also part of his catalogue.
