About Steve DeMercado
Steve DeMercado is a perfumer at Takasago and co-owner of the indie brand OK Fine Fragrances. He has also worked with Fragrance Resources, Givaudan and IFF. He has won multiple FiFi Awards. He co-founded OK Fine Fragrances with longtime collaborator Michael Simpson, specialising in scents aged in American oak barrels.
His long list of credits leans toward designer and celebrity fragrances. Notable works include Marc Jacobs (2001) and Paris Hilton (2005). He also composed Penhaligon's Ellenisia (2005) and Rihanna's RiRi (2015). In 2021 he created Eilish for Billie Eilish.
