About Steve Guo
Steve Guo is a Chinese perfumer from Beijing and the first Chinese Fine Fragrance Perfumer in dsm-firmenich's history. He moved to France as a young adult. There he earned a chemistry degree from the University of Strasbourg and a master's from the University of Montpellier 2. He trained at the Robertet perfumery school in Grasse.
Guo worked as a perfumer in Paris for about three years and moved back to China in 2021. He joined the Firmenich fine fragrance atelier in Shanghai in March 2023. His work draws on Chinese poetry, abstract painting and landscapes, and on ancient fragrance materials. His Chypre 24 won the Société Française des Parfumeurs' International Perfumer's Prize in 2017.
