The Experience
Bois Impérial is a woody fragrance built around Akigalawood, a material upcycled from patchouli. It opens green and peppery — crushed Thai basil against Nepalese Timut pepper, which carries a grapefruit facet that reads bright without being citrusy. A freesia note and Georgywood give the middle a luminous, cedar-toned lift, and the base is earthy Haitian vetiver over patchouli and Ambrofix. Diffusive and easy, it has become one of the most quietly influential woods of the decade.
