Parfums de Marly was founded in 2009 in France by Julien Sprecher, drawing inspiration from the opulence of King Louis XV's Château de Marly and 18th-century French equestrian culture.
Opens with a bright spark of pink pepper, grapefruit and lime, fresh with a peppery bite. The heart darkens with saffron, labdanum and olibanum, resinous and warm, softened by rose, geranium and floral touches. It settles into precious woods, patchouli leaf, amber and cedar, dry, earthy and slightly metallic. Suited to evenings, cooler months and formal gatherings, it leaves a refined, woody trail that feels confident without being loud.
