Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell was born in Los Angeles in 2001 and became the youngest artist in history to win a Grammy in all four major categories (Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year) at the 2020 ceremony at age 18. Her aesthetic — oversized clothes, heavy jewellery, silver grillz, and a commitment to concealing her body that she has spoken about extensively as a protection of her sense of self — brought an unusual philosophical depth to what might otherwise be a conventional pop career. Her fragrance line, launched in 2021, carries the same philosophical commitment: entirely vegan and cruelty-free formulations, sustainable packaging, and a personal involvement in creative direction that distinguishes the Eilish fragrances from most celebrity launches.

Eilish No. 1 (2021) was created with a brief that Billie described as wanting the fragrance to smell 'like the colour of my aura' — warm, creamy, and enveloping. The result — vanilla, sugar, petals, musk, and soft woods — is a warm gourmand composition of unusual sophistication for a debut celebrity fragrance. The EDP concentration delivers excellent longevity (8-10 hours) and a cocooning warmth that reflects the same sense of personal safety that Billie's oversized clothing represents. Eilish No. 2 (2023), a lighter composition, introduced fresh petals and cedar for those who found the original too rich.

Eilish No. 1 (2021) is the house's most celebrated composition — a vanilla-musk-wood gourmand that received unusually positive reviews from fragrance critics who rarely embrace celebrity launches. Its quality reflects Billie's genuine creative involvement: the brief, the testing, and the final approval were genuinely hers rather than delegated to a marketing team. The entirely vegan and cruelty-free formulation aligns with her documented commitment to environmental ethics.

Billie Eilish occupies accessible prestige — EDPs from €45-€70 — delivering genuine quality and philosophical authenticity that makes it the most respected celebrity fragrance house of its generation. Her genuine creative involvement and sustainability commitment give the brand credibility that celebrity fragrance rarely earns.
