Tiffany & Co. was founded in New York City in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young — initially as a stationery and fancy goods store before pivoting definitively to fine jewellery as Tiffany's taste and business acumen recognised where their future lay. The house became globally famous for their iconic Tiffany Blue packaging (a colour so distinctive it is trademarked), the Tiffany Setting engagement ring (1886, the first to elevate the diamond above the band), and Audrey Hepburn's appearance outside their Fifth Avenue flagship in Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961). LVMH acquired Tiffany & Co. in 2021 for $15.8 billion — the largest luxury acquisition in history. The fragrance programme, launched in 2017, translated the house's aesthetic values — cool blue elegance, New York sophistication, precious material quality — into modern feminine and masculine compositions.
Tiffany & Co. EDP (2017), created by Daniela Andrier — who also created Prada Infusion d'Iris and Bottega Veneta's original EDP — uses iris, hedione, musks, and woods to capture the cool, precise elegance of Tiffany's Blue Box in scent form. Andrier's signature minimalist approach — building maximum effect around a single precious ingredient — is perfectly aligned with the Tiffany aesthetic of restraint as the highest form of luxury.
Tiffany & Co. EDP (2017) is the house's defining feminine — a cool iris-musk composition of exceptional precision that captures the Tiffany aesthetic: New York cool, precious material restraint, blue-sky clarity. Daniela Andrier's work for Tiffany is consistent with her Prada Infusion d'Iris — architectural, demanding, and genuinely beautiful. Tiffany & Love (2021) introduced a warmer, more romantic direction with sandalwood and musk for a younger audience.
Tiffany & Co. occupies premium accessible luxury — EDPs from €90-€140 — with one of the world's most recognised luxury brand identities giving their fragrances immediate aspirational appeal.

Tiffany & Co. — Common Questions
When was Tiffany & Co. founded?
Tiffany & Co. was founded in New York City in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young. The Tiffany Setting engagement ring (1886) and the trademarked Tiffany Blue packaging are among their most iconic contributions to luxury culture. LVMH acquired Tiffany in 2021 for $15.8 billion — the largest luxury acquisition in history. The fragrance programme launched in 2017.
Who created Tiffany & Co. EDP?
Tiffany & Co. EDP (2017) was created by Daniela Andrier — also responsible for Prada's Infusion d'Iris and Bottega Veneta's original EDP. Her signature minimalist approach — maximising effect around a single precious ingredient — aligned perfectly with the Tiffany aesthetic of restraint as luxury. The cool iris-musk-wood composition captures the Tiffany Blue Box's precision and clarity in olfactive form.
What does Tiffany & Co. perfume smell like?
Tiffany & Co. EDP is a cool, precise iris-hedione-musk-wood composition of New York sophistication. Hedione creates a jasmine-like diffusive quality; iris provides powdery floral structure; the musk base creates clean, polished skin-warmth. The overall effect is the olfactive equivalent of the Tiffany Blue Box: immediately recognisable, precisely executed, and quietly precious.
How does Tiffany & Co. compare to Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels in jewellery house fragrance?
All three are prestigious luxury jewellery houses with fragrance programmes at comparable prices. Tiffany has the most American identity — New York cool versus Cartier's Parisian elegance and Van Cleef's fairy-tale enchantment. Tiffany's use of Daniela Andrier (who also created for Prada and Bottega Veneta) gives their composition the most minimalist sophistication. Cartier's Déclaration is more masculine in spirit; Tiffany EDP is more clearly feminine.
Can I try Tiffany & Co. fragrances as samples?
Yes — The Scent Stories® stocks authentic Tiffany & Co. samples and miniatures. All are factory-sealed and brand-packaged, shipped worldwide.
