About Antoine Maisondieu
Antoine Maisondieu is a French perfumer and a senior perfumer at Givaudan. He trained at the Roure perfumery school, now part of Givaudan, and has built most of his career there. He has created fragrances for Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford, Prada and Burberry, and has more than a hundred to his name. He is married to fellow Givaudan perfumer Shyamala Maisondieu.
His work often sets aromatic or citrus top notes over dry woods and ambers. He uses materials such as ambroxan and akigalawood, with smoky, peppery accents. He co-created Montblanc Explorer (2019) and Prada Paradoxe (2022). He also worked on Yves Saint Laurent MYSLF (2023), Valentino Born in Roma Uomo (2019) and Burberry London for Men (2006).
