About Daniela Andrier
Daniela Andrier is a French-German perfumer born in Heidelberg. She studied philosophy at the Sorbonne before choosing perfumery. She attended the Roure perfumery school in 1989 and works at Givaudan. Since the early 2000s she has been Prada's in-house perfumer on a near-exclusive basis, leading the development of its fragrance line. She also works occasionally for Kenzo.
Her style favours clarity, warm minerality and an economy of notes. She returns often to iris, benzoin, vetiver, labdanum and tonka bean. Her best-known work is Prada Infusion d'Iris (2007). She also created Prada Candy (2011) and Luna Rossa (2012), where she paired lavender with ambroxan. Earlier works include Gucci Envy for Men (1998) and Guerlain Angélique Noire (2005). She also created Tiffany & Co. Eau de Parfum (2017).
