About Jordi Fernández
Jordi Fernández is a Senior Perfumer at Givaudan, born and raised in Catalonia, Spain. He is self-taught rather than school-trained. He started his career at Eurofragrance, a family-owned fragrance company in Barcelona. He joined Givaudan in 2010 and now divides his time between Barcelona and Dubai. He is also a member of the Spanish Academy of Perfume.
His study of Middle Eastern perfumery shows in his oud, saffron and incense work. He moves easily between clean, minimal compositions and rich, opulent ones. His best-known designer work is Montblanc Explorer (2019), created with Antoine Maisondieu and Olivier Pescheux, followed by Explorer Extreme (2025). In niche perfumery he composed Maison Crivelli Oud Maracujá and Oud Stallion (both 2023). He also created Versace Iris d'Élite, Gingembre Pétillant and Safran Royal (2021), Ex Nihilo Gold Immortals and Michael Kors Pour Homme (2024).
Jordi Fernández created Montblanc Explorer and Explorer Extreme, Maison Crivelli Oud Maracujá and Oud Stallion, and Versace Iris d'Élite, Gingembre Pétillant and Safran Royal. His other work includes Ex Nihilo Gold Immortals, Michael Kors Pour Homme and Lattafa Khamrah Waha.
