About Michel Girard

Michel Girard is a French perfumer at Givaudan, born in 1957 with roots in Grasse. He graduated from the Lycée Fénelon in Grasse in 1974. He then worked at Robertet and Quest International, where he became a Senior Perfumer. He joined Givaudan in 1998.

His portfolio leans towards bold, crowd-pleasing designer scents for men and women. He is credited on Rabanne 1 Million (2008), one of the best-selling men's fragrances of its era. For Azzaro he worked on Wanted by Night (2018) and The Most Wanted (2021). Earlier credits include Burberry Touch (1998), Burberry Baby Touch (2002) and Jennifer Lopez Still (2003). Later work includes Azzaro Pour Homme Elixir (2009) and Cerruti 1881 Riviera (2019).
