About Calice Becker

Calice Becker is a French perfumer and Vice President Perfumer at Givaudan. She trained at the Roure Bertrand Dupont perfumery school, now the Givaudan Perfumery School, which she has also directed. As of 2018 she was president of the International Society of Perfume Creators. The Fragrance Foundation has given her its Lifetime Achievement Award.

She likes to add an unexpected element to a composition, which she calls a dose of intrigue. Her breakout was Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Girl (1996). In 1999 she composed a best-selling floral for a historic Paris couture house. She is closely associated with By Kilian, creating Love Don't Be Shy (2007), Back to Black (2009) and Playing With the Devil (2013). She also made Tom Ford Velvet Orchid (2014), Versace Pour Femme Dylan Blue (2017) and Essential Parfums The Musc (2018).
