About Domitille Michalon Bertier

Domitille Michalon Bertier is a senior perfumer at IFF with more than two decades in the industry. She studied at the ISIPCA perfumery school from 1992 to 1994. She joined IFF as a trainee in 1994 and was promoted to Senior Perfumer in 2007. She has worked with Viktor&Rolf, Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga, Lancôme and Alexander McQueen.

She draws on cooking, art, travel and reading, and builds scents from a personal library of accords. She favours natural materials and names iris concrete as a favourite. Her best-known creation is Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb (2005), which she has followed with many flankers such as Ruby Orchid (2021). She also made Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight in Paris (2010) and Marc Jacobs Perfect (2020). Recent credits include Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt Parfum Electrique (2022) and Rabanne Invictus Victory Elixir (2023).
