About Delphine Jelk
Delphine Jelk is a French perfumer at Guerlain, where she works alongside master perfumer Thierry Wasser. She first trained in fashion; her 1999 graduate collection combined menswear with scent. She then worked as a trend researcher with Firmenich in Geneva and Paris. She studied at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery and trained at Drom under Philippe Romano. In 2021 she was named a Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
Her style has been described as controlled softness. She pairs vanilla with lavender and iris, and uses almond and tea. Her breakthrough was Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire (2012). She later created Mon Guerlain (2017), L'Homme Idéal Extrême (2020) and Rose Chérie (2021). Recent work includes the Rose Amira edition (2024).
Delphine Jelk created Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire and Mon Guerlain, as well as L'Homme Idéal Extrême, Rose Chérie and the 2024 Rose Amira. She has also worked on Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria line and Shalimar L'Essence.
