About Jacques Huclier
Jacques Huclier is a French perfumer at Givaudan. He trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and started at Haarmann & Reimer, where Olivier Cresp and Pierre Bourdon mentored him. He later worked at Quest before returning to Givaudan in 2003. His breakthrough came in 1996 with A*Men for Mugler. He has since composed many of its flankers, including Pure Coffee (2008) and Pure Havane (2011).
Huclier often starts from one strong accord and keeps his formulas short. A*Men set the pattern: caramel, coffee and patchouli pushed into a dense gourmand for men. His other well-known work includes Gucci Guilty Pour Homme (2011), Ricci Ricci for Nina Ricci (2009) and Azzaro Chrome Pure (2017). He has also worked for niche houses, such as Cologne 352 for Ex Nihilo (2014).
Jacques Huclier created A*Men for Mugler (1996) and many of its flankers. He also made Gucci Guilty Pour Homme (2011), Nina Ricci Ricci Ricci (2009) and Azzaro Chrome Pure (2017). His portfolio covers more than 50 fragrances across designer and niche brands.
The Scent Stories® stocks authentic, brand-packaged samples, miniatures, testers and full bottles of Jacques Huclier's creations. This lets you try his perfumes on your own skin before you commit to a full bottle.
