About Nathalie Benareau

Nathalie Benareau is a senior perfumer at Symrise's creative studio in New York. Born in 1974 in Thonon-les-Bains, France, she studied chemistry at Toulouse University. A 1999 internship at Firmenich led her to perfumery. She trained at Intarome and Manheimer and became a perfumer in 2006. She joined Symrise in 2008, moved to New York in 2011 and was named senior perfumer in 2023.

Her upbringing mixed Algerian, Spanish and French cultures. She has worked extensively with Victoria's Secret, for which she created Bare (2022) and Bombshell Sundrenched (2022). For Rabanne she created Million Gold For Her, released as a parfum in 2024 and an eau de parfum in 2025. She also composed John Varvatos JVxNJ Silver Edition (2020), which won a Fragrance Foundation award.
