About Paul Guerlain
Paul Guerlain is a French perfumer and a descendant of the Guerlain perfume family. As a teenager he spent long hours experimenting with raw materials in a small lab at his grandfather's home. He studied at ISIPCA and then trained at IFF in New York and Paris, where perfumer Anne Flipo mentored him. He belongs to the newer generation of perfumers working within IFF.
Most of his work is for designer houses, often co-authored with senior IFF colleagues. His early credits include Rabanne Olympéa (2015). He later worked on Jimmy Choo Man Aqua (2022), a fresh take on the brand's masculine line, and on Amouage Lustre (2024). Recent credits include Penhaligon's The Cut (2025) and Rabanne Phantom Elixir (2025). He is also credited on Rabanne Phantom Intense.
