About Laurent Bruyere
Laurent Bruyère was a French perfumer, born in 1965, who died in 2008 at the age of 43. He was largely self-taught. At 16, while studying biochemistry, he began recreating classic fragrances at home. He started his career at Charabot, then moved to IFF, where Dominique Ropion mentored him. He later became a senior perfumer at Mane.
Much of his best-known work was co-authored with Ropion for fashion houses. Together they created Mugler Alien (2005) and Cacharel Amor Amor (2003). On his own he signed Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto (2003) and Costume National Scent (2002). He also composed Lalique Le Baiser (1999) and Mugler's Angel Innocent. His short career left a catalogue of around 30 fragrances.
