About Caroline Sabas
Caroline Sabas is a French perfumer, born in Cannes and raised in Grasse. She became interested in fragrance as a teenager after visiting a perfumer's lab. She studied at ISIPCA in Versailles and completed an apprenticeship in Paris. She began her career at Fragrance Resources in New York in 1997. In 2003 she joined Givaudan's New York fine fragrance team, where she is a senior perfumer.
She often adapts her perfumes into body lotions, shower gels and candles. Her favourite materials include amber, the musk ambrettolide and vetiver, which she rediscovered on a visit to Haiti. Her credits include État Libre d'Orange You or Someone Like You (2017), created with author Chandler Burr. She also composed Narciso Rodriguez Oud Musc, Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy (2006) and Rihanna Reb'l Fleur (2010).
