About Romano Ricci
Romano Ricci is a Paris-born perfumer and the founder of Juliette Has A Gun. He is the great-grandson of Nina Ricci and the grandson of Robert Ricci. After Parfums Nina Ricci was sold in 2000, he trained for six years at France Fragrances. He launched Juliette Has A Gun at Colette in Paris in 2006. He received a Special Prize from The Fragrance Foundation France in 2011.
The brand's first two scents were composed with Francis Kurkdjian. From Citizen Queen in 2007, Ricci has composed the line himself. Rose recurs across his work and is often called the house signature. His best-known creation is Not A Perfume (2010), built around a single ingredient, the ambery molecule Cetalox. Other notable works include Midnight Oud (2008), Calamity J (2009) and Mad Madame (2012).
