About Daniel Moliere
Daniel Molière is a French perfumer with more than 30 years of creations behind him. He has worked as a perfumer for Mane, the family-owned Grasse fragrance house. His career began with mainstream designer work in the 1980s and 1990s. It later included early commissions from niche houses that were then just emerging. Parfumo lists 15 fragrances by him, released between 1980 and 2007.
Much of his best-known work is warm and woody or richly floral. He created Balahé for Léonard (1983), Clandestine for Guy Laroche (1986) and Insensé for Givenchy (1993). His most enduring niche creation is Tam Dao for Diptyque (2003). This creamy sandalwood scent, with cypress and rosewood, remains a reference point for woody fragrances.
Daniel Molière created Diptyque Tam Dao (2003), Givenchy Insensé (1993), Guy Laroche Clandestine (1986), Léonard Balahé (1983), Givenchy Fleur d'Interdit (1994) and the original Eau de Givenchy (1980).
