About Dominique Preyssas
Dominique Preyssas is a perfumer who studied chemistry and then trained at the ISIPCA perfumery school in Versailles. For nearly two decades Preyssas has worked at CPL Aromas. The current role there is Senior Perfumer and Director of Perfumery France. Parfumo credits Preyssas with close to 70 fragrances. Preyssas also worked with Mercedes-Benz on its Fanciful Edition fragrance.
Preyssas combines scientific formulation with an aesthetic eye. Favourite modern materials include ambrocenide and norlimbanol, used for volume and a dry woody feel. Credits include Basala for Shiseido (1993), Talisman for Balenciaga (1994) and Le Dandy pour Homme for d'Orsay (1999). There are also several Jaguar scents, including Classic (2002), Classic Gold (2012) and Era (2021).
