About Nanako Ogi
Nanako Ogi is a Japanese perfumer at Givaudan, based in Singapore. She studied anthropology at university before a friend suggested perfumery. She moved to the United States, earned a chemistry degree and spent ten years in the fragrance industry. She was then accepted into the Givaudan Perfumery School. Parfumo credits her with more than 30 fragrances.
Her work blends her Japanese heritage with other cultures. She often builds a fragrance around an everyday memory, such as the smell of tatami mats. Known works include Cassili for Parfums de Marly (2019), and Secret Tryst (2021) and Sirène (2024) for Fragrance Du Bois. Routes Nomades for Ojar (2021) links Japanese incense ceremony with Omani frankincense rituals.
Nanako Ogi created Parfums de Marly Cassili (2019), Fragrance Du Bois Secret Tryst (2021) and Sirène (2024), Ojar Routes Nomades (2021) and Lattafa Mallow Madness (2025).
The Scent Stories® stocks authentic, brand-packaged samples, miniatures, testers and full bottles of Nanako Ogi's creations, so you can try a fragrance on your own skin before buying a full bottle.
