Ahmed Al Maghribi is a prestigious perfume house from the United Arab Emirates, drawing deeply on the centuries-old tradition of Arabian perfumery that stretches back to the ancient trade routes connecting Oman, Yemen, and the spice markets of the Orient. The house takes its name from the Arabic tradition of 'Al Maghribi' — the western tradition — representing the confluence of Moroccan, Egyptian, and Levantine fragrance cultures with the core Gulf perfumery heritage. Founded with the mission of creating authentic, premium-quality Arabian fragrances accessible to a global audience, Ahmed Al Maghribi has built a catalogue that spans traditional attars to contemporary EDPs while maintaining fidelity to the genuine raw materials that define great Arabic perfumery.
The house employs perfumers trained in traditional Arabian methods, with expertise in the authentic sourcing and blending of oud, rose, amber, musk, and saffron at concentrations that reflect the Arabic philosophy of generous, enveloping fragrance. This philosophy — that fragrance should make a statement and linger — produces compositions of exceptional longevity and projection. The use of genuine oud from Bangladesh, India, and Southeast Asia rather than synthetic oud accord is a key differentiator, creating depth and complexity unavailable to houses that rely on synthetic substitutes.
Notable compositions include Oud Royale — a pure oud-amber-musk composition of remarkable authority — and Misk Al Madina, a white musk and sandalwood interpretation that demonstrates the house's range from bold to intimate. Gold Rain — bergamot, jasmine, rose, and amber — has become a favourite for its accessible beauty and wearability across gender and occasion. Many of the Ahmed Al Maghribi compositions feature saffron as a structural element, reflecting the Moroccan fragrance tradition where saffron is used as generously as rose or oud in the finest attars.
Ahmed Al Maghribi occupies the accessible premium oriental segment — EDPs from €40-€80 — offering ingredient quality and longevity (typically 12-16 hours) that established Western luxury houses at three times the price consistently struggle to match. For the fragrance enthusiast seeking authentic Arabian perfumery without the exclusivity premiums of the most established Middle Eastern houses, Ahmed Al Maghribi represents one of the finest value propositions in the category.

Ahmed Al Maghribi — Common Questions
Where is Ahmed Al Maghribi from?
Ahmed Al Maghribi is a UAE-based fragrance house drawing on the confluence of Moroccan, Egyptian, Levantine, and Gulf Arabian perfumery traditions. The name references 'Al Maghribi' — the western Arabic fragrance tradition — reflecting the blend of multiple Arabian perfumery cultures into a single house identity.
What makes Ahmed Al Maghribi fragrances distinctive?
Ahmed Al Maghribi uses genuine oud sourced from Bangladesh, India, and Southeast Asia at genuine concentrations — rather than synthetic oud accord, which most mainstream brands use for cost reasons. This authentic ingredient approach produces compositions of genuine depth and complexity. Many compositions also feature genuine saffron as a structural element, reflecting the Moroccan fragrance tradition.
How long do Ahmed Al Maghribi perfumes last?
Ahmed Al Maghribi fragrances are formulated in the Arabic tradition of generous concentration, typically delivering 12-16 hours of wear on skin with strong projection. Fabric retention is even longer — many compositions will remain detectable on clothing for 24-48 hours.
How does Ahmed Al Maghribi compare to Lattafa and Rasasi?
Ahmed Al Maghribi positions slightly above Lattafa in ingredient generosity and composition complexity, with more emphasis on genuine Arabic raw materials. Compared to Rasasi — which has nearly 50 years of heritage — Ahmed Al Maghribi is a more modern house. All three deliver excellent quality at accessible price points, but Ahmed Al Maghribi's Moroccan-Gulf heritage gives certain compositions a distinctive character not found in purely Gulf-tradition houses.
Can I try Ahmed Al Maghribi fragrances before buying?
Yes — The Scent Stories® stocks authentic Ahmed Al Maghribi samples, miniatures, and tester bottles. All are factory-sealed and brand-packaged, shipped worldwide. Given the intensity of Arabic oud fragrances, sampling before purchase is strongly advisable — these compositions perform very powerfully and the projection may exceed what wearers accustomed to Western designer fragrances are prepared for.
