Paris Hilton

Paris Whitney Hilton was born in New York City in 1981 into the Hilton hotel dynasty and became one of the most globally recognised celebrities of the early 2000s — a cultural phenomenon whose fame preceded the social media era that would later define celebrity culture. Her fragrance business, launched in 2004 with Paris by Paris Hilton, became one of the most commercially successful celebrity fragrance programmes in history — generating over $2.5 billion in retail revenue across more than 30 fragrances by 2020. Her business acumen in fragrance is genuinely remarkable: at a time when celebrities received fragrance licensing deals as celebrity endorsements, Paris Hilton understood and built a real fragrance business.

Paris Hilton fragrances are created through Parlux licensing, working with leading commercial perfumers. Paris by Paris Hilton (2004), the debut, was created using peach, gardenia, mimosa, sandalwood, and musk in a warm, floral-fruity composition that immediately attracted commercial success. Can Can (2010) — a champagne floral of peach, amber, and musk — demonstrated the brand's growing sophistication. Gold Rush (2017), a gourmand oriental of vanilla, caramel, and woods, reflects the evolution toward warmer, more complex compositions.

Paris by Paris Hilton (2004) remains the house's most enduring composition — a peach-gardenia-mimosa-sandalwood-musk feminine that established the template for Paris Hilton's fragrance identity: warm, accessible, and unapologetically feminine. Dazzle (2017), with fresh citrus and peony over amber, was among her most critically received compositions. The breadth of the Paris Hilton fragrance catalogue — over 30 releases — demonstrates both the brand's commercial success and its responsiveness to shifting consumer preferences across two decades.

Paris Hilton occupies accessible prestige — EDPs from €30-€55 — with commercial sophistication that has generated $2.5 billion in retail revenue. The brand's longevity — 20 years of continuous commercial success — is rare for celebrity fragrance.
