Rihanna

Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born in Saint Michael, Barbados in 1988 and became one of the most commercially successful recording artists in history — with over 250 million records sold globally. Her beauty brand Fenty Beauty (launched 2017) became one of the most culturally transformative beauty launches in history, built around radical shade inclusion (40 foundation shades at launch versus the industry standard 8-12). Fenty Eau de Parfum (2021) — the first fragrance from her Fenty brand — was created in partnership with LVMH's Kendo Brands and reflects the same ethos of confident, inclusive luxury that defines everything Rihanna creates.

Fenty Eau de Parfum (2021) was created by Alienor Massenet — also responsible for Juliette Has a Gun's Not a Perfume and Tom Ford Private Blend's early compositions — using magnolia, musk, tangerine, blueberry, patchouli, and Bulgarian rose in a composition that Rihanna described as 'floriental meets island life.' The composition deliberately references Barbadian warmth alongside sophisticated Parisian floriental structure, creating something that works across cultural contexts — consistent with the Fenty inclusivity ethos.

Fenty Eau de Parfum (2021) is the house's most celebrated composition — a tangerine-magnolia-blueberry-rose-patchouli floriental that achieves the difficult balance between Caribbean warmth and Parisian sophistication. Created by Alienor Massenet with Rihanna's active creative involvement, it has attracted genuine fragrance community respect for exceeding celebrity fragrance quality norms. The minimalist bottle — a faceted glass weight in nude pink — reflects the Fenty aesthetic of confident, unadorned luxury.

Rihanna/Fenty occupies accessible prestige — EDPs from €60-€90 — with the most culturally influential celebrity beauty brand of its era translating its values into a genuinely well-made fragrance.
